DOLLY ROCKER MOVEMENT & DOWNHILLS HOME @ NSC

Ah, I suck. I know. I've been seemingly neglecting this little space over the last few weeks, but I can assure you it's not all in vain. I'm blaming my lack of content on Mercury-retrograde, which continues until the end of the month, causing us all to feel and fall a bit flat, find communication a bit testing and testy, and generally providing a few more petty little hiccups pushing our patience. My printed words may have been absent, but trust me, I have been a busy little bee. I have a few fantastic interviews and articles in the pipe, and - most excitingly - I'm working on moving this little blog to something bigger and better. That's right, I'll be waving goodbye to Blogger and branching out on my own. Will this be the site's ultimate downfall? Self-hosting requires, after all, a little more tinkering than the current format of typing and pushing 'Publish'.

This Friday, I'll be raising my fist to mean Mercury-retrograde by going to watch The Dolly Rocker Movement and Downhills Home at the Northcote Social Club. By now, you're probably well aware of my affection for the Dollys, but this will be the first time I've seen Downhills Home, even though the bass player is one of my boyfriend's best friends. It's going to be a great night, and if you're in the area, be sure to come along.
